Adele shared her thoughts on Taylor Swift‘s attendance at NFL games during her residency show in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
In a video shared on social media, Adele defended Swift while talking about Super Bowl LVIII, where the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers will go head to head Sunday at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium. Swift is expected to attend the game.
“I’m a bit torn, because I kind of want the 49ers to win…but I think I want the Chiefs to win just because of Taylor Swift’s boyfriend,” Adele told the audience, who cheered at her response in the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

“And all of you that are complaining about Taylor being at the games, get a fucking life, it’s her fucking boyfriend!” Adele continued. “It’s actually made it a bit more enjoyable to watch, because like I said, I have no idea what’s going on.”

— Taylor Swift Updates 🩶 (@swifferupdates) February 11, 2024Swift attended multiple NFL games during the 2023 season to cheer on her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. The singer-songwriter made her first NFL appearance at the Sept. 24 game between the Chiefs and Chicago Bears, where the former ended the game with a score of 41-10.
Swift spoke about her relationship with Kelce in a rare interview with Time last year, particularly about her appearance at his games.
“When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” she told Time. “The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”
